Wall-e

Pixar's newest release:

Looking forward to it!

So most of you know already but for those of you who don't, I've been applying to go to art school in the fall.  If I get accepted I'll be moving to Sweden mid-August for two years to get my master's.  If I don't get accepted, I'm going to move anyway and look for a job in Stockholm, where I will be living with Filip.

Hope you can come visit!

On a completely unrelated note, something cute, courtesy of Talia:

It's an Ori-Pei, a pug-sharpei mix!

Taiwan Election May Ease Tensions with China
Letter: Voting for Taiwan's demise

I'm not too sure how I feel about this all.  I don't think any Taiwanese politician would openly embrace 100% reunification with China... but at the same time, in all honesty, China's economic power is just too much.  And it seems to me that ideologies are the first thing to go if it means extra cash coming in.

Everytime I leave Taiwan, it makes me worried and sad, wondering if the next time I go back, will I be going back to Taiwan, or Chinese Taipei?  *sigh*  If Taiwanese people are so willing to sacrifice their national identities to get closer to China's economic growth, then I guess we already know the answer to my question.

Bug fights!

Some people may think it's mean, and some may think its gross...but I am totally fascinated by this site.  I've watched 10 rounds in a row since I discovered it.  It's like a child's dream!  I mean, who hasn't dreamed up epic battles like these their childhood??

PS - Round 5 looks fierce, can't wait!
